We are with you every step of the way to ensure you get the most out of this program and you are ready to start practicing. To this end, we have Ongoing Virtual Face to Face Support available to you with an AP certified educator.

Yes! All course participants are required to purchase a minimum Starter Kit, with the following two exceptions. Students registered in a beauty school can purchase the minimum of a Practice Kit. Salons/spas having more than one-course participants may purchase a minimum Starter Kit plus one Practice Kit for each course participant.

Yes, you can. Practice is important to set you up for success with the AP treatments in your salon.

Should you need additional time beyond the standard one-year allotment, we do offer an extension option. For a fee of $150, you can receive an additional 3 months of access to complete your course and certification requirements. This allows you the flexibility to continue your training without losing the progress you’ve already made.

We understand that sometimes learning something new can feel overwhelming, but please remember that your educator is here to guide and support you every step of the way. If you’re struggling, we encourage you to reach out to your educator directly for extra help, tips, or clarification. Because the Professional Body Sugaring Certification Course provides immediate access to training materials upon enrollment, we are unable to offer refunds once enrollment has been completed. This policy helps protect the integrity of the program and ensures fairness for all participants. We encourage you to take full advantage of the one-year access period, ongoing educator support, and supplemental resources available to you before making a final decision about discontinuing your training.

Although some companies may tell you that you do not need to be licensed to sugar, in the US and many other countries, you must hold a valid cosmetology/aesthetics license to perform any type of hair removal. Check with your state to see if they offer a shorter-term license specific to waxing hair removal which will then qualify you to perform professional sugaring treatments as well.

In some states, you may find that the State Board of Cosmetology allows a person to offer beauty treatments (including sugaring) if it is not listed in their roster of licensing regulations.

If you’re an unlicensed professional, it is your responsibility to check with your state board of cosmetology for all licensing regulations.

Yes! If your salon or spa is an active account with AP, we offer a reduced course fee for each additional student coming from that salon/spa for our Body Sugaring Certification Course. Please contact us to find out more.

Each theory quiz is designed as a learning tool and you can take each quiz as many times as you need to learn and pass. The goal is to help you with information retention!

The Alexandria Professional Online Academy is available at participating distributors including AP Praires Canada and Italy (coming soon).
