Question about sticking

So I have noticed the other day it was really hot and it was before this cool front came in and I was trying to do my husband‘s arms and the sugar was sticking and not lifting at all, and I wasn’t sure if I had to do with the heat because I did it again yesterday and it went really well coming up so then right now with the bikini that I just uploaded, I just was trying to do the sugar. I put it on her and it did the same thing again where it got really sticky I guess but it wouldn’t come off it just like stuck so I ended up soaking it off with a towel and starting over and was able to do it again, but I noticed that I still had the same sugar so I didn’t get more sugar. Was it because it had stiffen a little? I’m not sure I know you can help me with that but thank you
